I need to solve for the letters in bold in the attached image - but I wouldn't know where to begin. Can someone help please?
i.e.
A=
B=
C=
...

start with identifications of half equations with change in oxidation numbers

I'm not sure if this is the proper or correct way, but I can tell you how I do these things. If any definitions are awkward know that English is not my first language and I don't have the time to look up each definition online :-\
Follow these steps:
1. Find out the oxidation degree of all the atoms.
2. Find the elements who change the oxidation degree.
3. Balance the number of all the electrons that the element loses or connects.
4. Take the coefficients you get to your equation accordingly to the number of atoms in the molecule.
5. With the help of coefficients balance out those elements that don't change their oxidation degree.

Oh come on! Somebody just did half your homework for you as an example and now you want him to do the other half too? At least TRY to do it for yourself - how far can you get following the steps that were laid out for you? We can jump in again when you get stuck.

;D That was almost a year ago I first posted, I can assure you it isn't homework. It is for a puzzle for something more or less unrelated. I just need the numbers represented by the letters in bold. All I need now is E, F and G. THANKS ;)
