How to slower the volatilization rate of mixed benzene ?
« on: July 06, 2006, 03:14:06 AM »
I have a mixed benzene which includes benzene, methylbenzene, ethylbenzene, dimethylbenzene, cyclopentane, methylcyclopentane, hexane and methylcyclohexane. Owing to the low boiling point of cyclopentane and hexane, the mixed benzene volatilizes very quickly. If pouring some mixed benzene to a beaker, some small bead will appear on the ektexine of the beaker. Hence I want to know how I can solve this problem. Because I use it in producing, so distillation is impossible. In my opinion, a solvent which has a much higher boiling point must be used. Who can help me find this solvent? Thank you!
