Title: Analytical Chemist Career Paths!!

Just interesting in hearing how people proceeded in analytical chemistry field. Currently been doing this for a few years and would like to hear about other people progress, and thoughts about their careers.

Its one of the easiest fields to get into as there is big demand for analysts. I was trained in a GMP R&D lab as an analyst and it taught me a lot about the precision of chemistry. I couldn't progress too far with analytical in that setting though, I ended up doing a PhD and now I'm in formulation in a highly research-based industry lab. It means I'm managing several of my own projects to develop a product. In my opinion, I think analysts are important but I'd rather be deep into product development as I feel I'm making more of an impact on the product.
