Title: CuNiFe passivation and its mechanism
Post by: lum1n0l on July 23, 2024, 10:57:22 PM
So I'm doing some research into CuNiFe passivation and its mechanisms, but all I can find are posts about CuNi alloys and ferrous sulphate / iron anode treatment.

Will CuNiFe follow the same passivation mechanism, and if so, how exactly does this passivation process work? Is the passivated layer that forms the same as in carbon steel passivation, where an oxide layer forms on the surface of the metal? And if there are any other recommended methods to passivate this alloy, I would appreciate hearing about them
