Title: Chemicals available free for NC area chemistry professors
Post by: BobfromNC on December 26, 2024, 09:34:05 AM
I have recently helping clean out yet another small chemical business from a small company that did contract work for pharma and other labs. Sadly, the owner died rather quickly and unexpectedly, and his wife wants to get rid of it all, as she knows nothing about chemistry. They had a large number of sets of organic chemicals in the classes of amines, acids, acetophenones, boronic acids, aldehydes, ketones, and some other areas. I am trying to find any university professors or other qualified researchers who might be interested in some of these sets. Each has nearly 100 compounds in it, but I don't have full lists of any of it yet. I have worked with people from Duke, UNC, State, NC Central and UNC-Wilmington before, but many of my contacts are now retired, so trying to find faculty there and at other schools that might be interested. Some glassware and equipment is also available, trying to sell it first, but would consider donating it as well.
If you are interested, please send me an email at craigslistinnc@gmail.com (my online posted account) and I will reply with my main email.
