Title: 3-cyano-4-chloropyridine synthesis

I don't know whether the synthesis scheme of 3-cyano-4-chloropyridine wich list below is correct.


Who can tell me an effective method?

I can't see your scheme at the minute, may try and change computer later...

But how about e.g. dehydration of nicotinamide with POCl₃or similar? This may chlorinate the ring as well, but I'm not sure of regioselectivity - probably more likely at the 6-position due to sterics..?
