Title: Function of starch solution(2)

When determine the dissolved oxygen using Winkler's method, starch solution is added. What is the function of starch solution?

The topic is separate from "Function of starch solution" because the answer maybe different for different experiment...

Here the starch is also acting as an indicator for iodide ions.
