Title: Need a source for 4-Epidoxycycline
Post by: musmusculus on January 30, 2008, 01:27:37 PM
I need a commercial source for 4-Epidoxycycline. And as a lowly biologist, I don't know how to find one...

Thanks for your help

Mus musculus  ???

Hey musmusculus

I don't know if this is of any help to you, but i found an article where they prepare 4-epidoxycycline. The reference is:

Kertscher, H.-P.; Habermann, A.; Pohle, R.; Tauchert, H.; Hennig, L.; Eger, K.  Preparation and characterization of 4-epidoxycycline. Scientia Pharmaceutica  (1998),  66(4),  287-296.

You are correct Rico, AND K. Eger on that paper sells it.

I have a client who is now testing it out to confirm it works without antibiotic activity.  They were about to spend a small fortune using disposable cages, having to inform personnel of exposure, etc... a real nightmare compared to using the inactive form.

So, Mus Musculus, just contact Dr. Eger...his info is on the paper.
