Title: chem lab on molecular mass of a volatile liquid
Post by: forever22 on November 12, 2009, 11:57:25 AM
How would each of the following procedural errors affect the value obtained for the molecular mass? Give your reasoning in each case.

(a) All of the liquid was no vaporized when the lask was removed from the hot water bath.

(b) The flask was not dried thoroughly before weighing it at the end of the experiment.

(c) The flask was left in the hot water bath for an additional thirty minutes after the liquid was completely vaporized.

(d) The flask was not cooled after removal from the hot water bath.

for those of us without telepathy or other such extra-sensory talents it would help if you had added a description of the actual experiment.

If you telll us what answer you chose and why, you should get some help (read the rules!)
