Hi there,

Does anyone have any ideas where pyridine can be found or how it can be synthesised?

Scott.

AFAIK, it's possible to extract it from coal tar, for example. It certainly isn't synthesized.

Please do read the MSDS for Pyridine and beware of its effects and after effects.
Regards.

i.e.

be very careful with pyridine. aside from stinking like pure evil, it can make you infertile.

not something to take lightly...

I wonder what you want to use it for..?

Hi again,
Thanks for the info, I wasn't planning to use it or get it at all. Just asking out of curiosity.
