Title: Polarizability vs Electronegativity
Post by: Habibrobert on October 19, 2012, 01:35:03 AM
Hello,

I was wondering if someone could give me a thorough definition of the difference between polarizability and electronegativity? My book doesn't really explain it that well.

Many Thanks

A thumbnail explanation of one of them:  Polarizability deals with how deformable an electron cloud is.  Large elements are usually associated with greater polarizability.
