Title: Mcmurry VS Carey
Post by: biomiracle on January 10, 2013, 01:10:36 AM
Hello!

I am trying to decide which Organic Chemistry textbook to purchase: McMurry or Carey?

Which textbook gives clear explanation while also contains very detailed amounts of the subject (I have to

through online so I do not really know those textbooks' pros and cons...)

Will you also tell me the pros and cons of each book?

hi
I haven't read Mcmurry yet but one of my professors said it is very clear with good explanations. I have read advanced organic chemistry (carey) 4th edition that was great because of its wonderful examples, before reading this book I taught that chemistry is full of exception but now I believe every exception have a logic reason.
 good luck ;)
