Title: Minimize Train Tank Spillage
Post by: likeanepicboss on June 04, 2018, 05:27:32 PM
I just would like ideas on possible designs in order to minimize train tank spillage. Especially if the train is carrying an acid in it. Are there any ways to minimize possible containment breach if a train tank spillage were to occur again.

Well, lets start from the basics -- what is in place now, and how well does it work, and in what capacity did it fail?

Well the isotainer is carryin HCl in it and I just want to know if there are any ways to possibly minimize any HCl spilling out if the train derailed.

When designing the wagons or the railway, much can be done (and is already done).

When running 50-years-old wagons on a track whose path was decided 100 years ago, changing anything uses to cost too much.
