Does anyone know if L-serine is affected by indirect heat at 70c for 10min. I am formulating a lozenge with Serine and to make it requires an anhydrous base melted to 60c to 70c that the serine is added to. My concern is if the serine may be ‘altered’ in some way. All assistance much appreciated.

U get less L-S and more D/L-S only. Heat will deprotonate the alcohol and the alpha position, but the enolate won't add to another serine.
