Antimony potassium tatrate preparation

Dear all,

Please help me on this problem: Now I have to prepare antimony potassium tartrate solution for phosphorus assay, but I have only potassium hexahydroxyantimonate and potassium tartrate. Could I mix them to form what I need?

I would use tartratic acid and the potassium hexahydroxyantimonate. Do a neutralisation with it. Potassium tartrate will not react with the first compound.

Note different oxidation numbers of of antimony: +3 in complex, +5 in K[Sb(OH)6]

Oh yeah, thats correct. >:D

 Reduction could be done with tartratic acid as well. The acid it self can be oxidised to carbondioxide, but also oxalic acid and others between.
