Hi all, Im attempting some questions as part of my revision and have no way to properly check my answers, i was wondering if i could get help with the following:

b) K[Au(CN)4]

c) Pt(bipy)2 Cl2

I am trying to determine of the abov:

1) The formal oxidation state of the central transition metal
2) The IUPAC name using stock notation
3) Number of d electrons in the valence shell
4) Co-ordination number of the transition metal

so far for [Cr(H2O)5Cl]Cl2 i have:

1) 3+
2) Penta-Aqua-Chloro-Chromium(III) di chloride
3) 3 d electrons
4) Co-ordination number 6?

Thanks for your help.
