In my biochemistry classes, our professor got a task to us. We must prove that the smallest lenghts between the oxygens in the ice molecule are 2,8 A, 4,5 A and 7,0 A. We can use the angles in the molecule to prove it, I guess, but I don't know where to start. Do you guys have any thoughts about it ?

Check the distance between hydrogen-bonded oxygen atoms. Most textbooks give information on this subject.
