Can someone help me identify these peaks for me? (Letters b and c)
« on: September 28, 2019, 01:54:02 PM »
I don't know how to find the structures of the peaks because they are not given in my common fragments cheatsheet.
For the first graph's 52 peak, I am only given propyl (43) and butyl (57) in my list of common fragments.
For the second graph, between 55 and 72, I am given butyl (57) and pentyl (71).

If you assign a mass difference of 79-52 to some neutral molecule that can break away from pyridine, you will automatically get the formula of the 55 ion(printing error) 52 ion.

Think analogously for the second compound.
