What would the product of a secondary alcohol and a carboxylic acid be? I know an ester forms from a primary alcohol which makes sense but what happens with a secondary alcohol? I’ve tried drawing it myself and and googling and nothing comes up.
The question is if propyl-2-ol and ethanoic acid react?
