hi, I am supposed to summarize a sewage water directive. It is confusing me why they always write N-NH
3
and NO
2
-N. Does someone know why that is, just to emphasize that it contains nitrogen?
thank you

No, it´s not to emphasize that it contains nitrogen. It´s just to indicate that all analysis must be calculated in mg/l N, not in mg/l NH

or NO
