is %w the same as percent weight?

%w means mass of solute dissolved in 100 g solutions

Is percent weight in https://handymath.com/cgi-bin/nacltble.cgi?submit=Entry also the same?

Yes the percentage is calculated to the mass of the Solution. It is weight percent w.w%. 5  g NaCl in 100g Solution is 5%. For the volume the density is necessary.
