Experiment
« on: May 02, 2020, 03:06:38 AM »
Hi, everyone.
I have been making up my own experiment of decaffeination of tea leaves. It may sound like a stupid question, but how do you usually decide the amount of chemicals you use? For example, I don't know how much of dichloromethane I should use for decaffeination.

Dont use chlorine Carbon compounds at all. It will absorb in the leaves and you drink it later. Cause cancer and damage of the liver.

Laboratory methods are based on the possibility of checking the effects of work. The dichloromethane extraction method is primarily used to determine the caffeine content in the tested raw material. Removal of caffeine from ground coffee or tea leaves intended for food purposes is performed by other methods. Solvent consumption cannot be determined unless the extraction method and equipment used for this purpose are known.
