Cellular Respiration
« on: June 07, 2020, 09:25:50 PM »
Does the other sugars (such as maltose or sucrose, etc) would still have the same ATP with glucose who under goes cellular respiration?

For instance, sucrose is made up of glucose and fructose which will breakdown later on. What will happen to fructose? how can it breakdown?

That question is not as simple as one might expect.  IIRC fructose enters glycolysis in a different manner from glucose, and that might change the yield of ATP slightly.  Why do you ask, and what have you learned so far?  What sources of information have you consulted?
