I have this reaction: Ketone + kcn/h+ + heat How does the mechanism go? I think that without heat the -cn attacks the partially positive carbon in the ketone and then the -o grabs the +h to form a cyanohydrin.
I read somewhere that the reaction is reversible with heat but i could be wrong And how it would be the reaction mechanism but with an aldehyde Please give me more examples with reaction mechanisms with heat and without heat.
