Hello Everyone,

I am interested in finding more values of σ, especially for cases in which an aromatic ring is the substituent.  I found a few aromatic rings in the large compilation from 1991 (Hansch C, et al. Chemical Reviews 1991 91:165-195; https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/cr00002a004).  I have not seen a further large compilation such as this one.  Does anyone know of a good source?

I had a reason to look up hammett constants about a year ago, and while I found some other collections, I never found anything better than the Hasnch paper you linked here. Its what I ended up mostly using.

What is it missing for you?

Right now ortho-nitrophenyl and carboxylate groups at ortho and para positions of the phenyl ring.  Looking toward the future it would be nice to have a carboxamido group in various positions on the ring.  Also compounds with two hydroxyl groups on the ring would be useful.
