How could Karstedt catalyst be broken down to isolate the platinum in it and get it back in metallic form?

Maybe TBAF could be used? You should get a black precipitate. Strong acid, TFA och HCl could also be used?

Man, there isn't that much Pt in there... but I agree a fluoride source might do it. Followed by distillation to remove the vinyl dimethyl fluoride, BP=??

Could you just hydrogenate the mixture and recover precipitated Pd black?
