Hello all. I have an idea wondering if you guys can tell me from a chemical basis if it would work.

Could one use DMSO to administer vasodilator drugs to treat Men’s ED? 

To be more specific does dimethyl sulfoxide breakdown or change the chemical composition of vasodilators such as prostaglandin E1? 

Currently those with severe ED and for whom oral medication‘s are not affective have some limits in the therapy available to them one of these therapies is
Intracavernosal injections of said vasoldilators. This form of treatment is invasive, can cause bruising, and hard for some patients to administer. If DMSO could be a carrier for this vasodilator then it could be administered topically. Is there Any issues from a chemical interaction standpoint that would make this a health hazard or ineffective (ie. A change in chemical structure of the vasodilator, a binding or creation of some other molecule, or such)?  Thanks in advance for any input.mf

As far as I am aware DMSO is sometimes used to deliver drugs, so technically it can be doable. But:

1. nobody here knows for sure
2. it can't be answered without a serious research
3. we don't give medical advice.
