Question (ozone)

hi,

When a certain quantity of Oxygen was ozonised in suitable apparatus, the volume decreases by 4ml. On addition of turpentine oil, the volume decreases further by 8ml. Find the forumla of ozone, assuming all the measurements are made at same temperature and pressure.

well, obiously O3.. But how do I arrive at it?

Assume in the last reaction all ozone was completely consumed - that will give your information about moles of ozone produced earlier.

Volume of ozone is given. Calculate volume of oxygen converted to ozone. And think about Avogadro law.
