Use of AIBN in polymerization of polyvinyl acetate
« on: June 04, 2021, 05:36:12 AM »
I was been wondering why we use a little amount of polymerization initiator in order to polymerize the monomer.
In my case, I used 2 mol% of AIBN to polymerize 40mmol of vinyl acetate.

Larger amounts of an initiator can lower polymerization degree (more smaller chains).
