So we have a project in which we need to separate paracetamol and phenylpropanolamine. I find it very difficult.
I use acetone to separate off fillers but I ended up with a messy stuff which I can't get rid off on my beaker.
Any thoughts and recommendations for this separation?

Both active ingredients should be separated and isolated.

The amine can be extracted from organic solvent with a little acid, 5% HCl(aq) is probably fine. To get rid of the mess you can suspend the mixture in MeOH and  filter trough celite. Acetone can react with the amine, not good.
