pH and absorbance

What happens to the wavelength of light absorbed by a solution when you change the pH of the solution? I need this for a spectrometry research project and I don’t even know where to start looking. Everything that I can find online about this topic only tells me about absorbance intensity, not wavelength.

It depends on the particulars of the experiment.  Do you know what a chromophore is?

@bluecheesecurd Did you heard about a pH-indicators (phenolophtalein for example) ?
