So my problem asked me to determine the mechanism of addition of HCN to imine in the presence of a catalyst after giving the information that it is first order in both catalyst and HCN. I was able to give a mechanism that conformed to the observed kinetics however, the problem also asked to show which of the elementary reactions are irreversible. How do I determine that?
