Does the substance F2O7 exist?
« on: August 16, 2021, 01:28:08 AM »
I am very curious about the substance F2O7. Let's talk about its electronegativity. Why F electronegativity stronger than O make F2O7 non-existent. You can use specialized words. Thanks all.

First things first: why do you think it could exist, why do you think it is specifically electronegativity that makes it impossible?

Oxygen difluoride exists but it's extremely unstable and will still potentially react with anything.
