The NO + CO → 1/2N2 + CO2 reaction was carried out over a catalyst and the NO consumption rate equation obtained was:
-rNO = KPNO.PCO/(1 + KNO.PNO + KCO.KPCO)²
Propose a reaction mechanism consistent with the rate equation.
