What kind of catalyst is needed for the isomerization of alfa olefins to linear internal olefins? I heard the name iron pentacarbonyl. Can it be used for this reaction?

Lots of metals can do this. It's certainly possible that iron could, but I'm not sure.
I think the more common ones are rhodium, ruthenium, palladium, etc.
