Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3.

The frontier orbitals are the highest occupied MO's and the lowest unoccupied MO's and when rationalizing the bonding between two atoms, you use the difference in energy levels of these between the atoms.
