Converting %w/v to %w/w ??
«

Concentration of Sucrose in diluted Syrup = 13.5 % w/v
Wt of Syrup taken in 50cm3 = 10.10g
Concentration of sucrose in Syrup BP = ... %w/w
just not sure how to go about getting it from a dilute %w/v to undiluted %w/w
any help really appreciated
thanks

of syrup weight at least 50 grams, but for more precise calculations you need a density of the syrup.
Assuming density of sirup as that of water, %w/v is equal to %w/w.

Then you can find a mass of sugar in 10.10 g of solution (density is needed for volume calculation, my guess is 1.06 g/cm
3
).
For a diluted solution you can assume density as 1 g/cm
3
(my guesss 1.01 g/cm
3
)

1.0501 g/mL for 13.5% w/v.
CASC rulez.
