There is certainly a very good industrial synthesis of this. At www.uspto.gov you can download patents for free, just do a text search.

However, I guess in the lab one could acetylate a nitrogen-protected aniline with acetic anhydride under Friedel-Crafts conditions. The main issue could be to make this reaction para-selective. You would then deprotect the nitrogen.

Sorry, I'm sure there are much better routes, but I can't think of any right now.
