Match each compound below with its solubilty characteristics
(If the first corresponds to B, and the next 2 to C, enter BCC)
( TEN tries allowed )

1) ethyl-4-aminobenzoate   A. Soluble only in aqueous bases

2) Napthalene   B. Soluble in ether, largely insoluble in aqueous solvents

3) benzoic acid   C. Soluble only in aqueous acids

D. Soluble in ether and aqueous acids (eg HCl)

E. Soluble in ether and weak aqueous bases (eq NaHCO3)

Question is at list uncorrect. The first two compounds dissolve in most organic unpolar or slightly polar solvents.
The second one is also a base, hence it forms a salt with acids, but this is a chemical reaction!

What do you mean by "aqueous solvents"

Benzoic acid is slightly soluble in cold wate, ethanol, ether, benzene and carbon tetrachloride, better in hot water. After addition of base or even NaHCO3 a neutralization reaction take place
