could someone look at my calculations briefly to see if i did them right.  Thanks Jenny

reagents table
                         9-fluorenone              NaNH4          9-fluorenol
Mass(g)              1.095 g                    .114g                         ? no wieght yet has to dry

Volume               7.11ml                    .106ml

Molar Mass(g/mol) 180.30                    37.83

Moles                  ?

Density                1.13g/ml                 1.07g/ml             1.15g/ml

M.P.                    81-85                             400             152

for C13H8O

volume C13H8O=1.100 g*(1ml/1.13g)=7.11 ml C13H8O

moles C13H8O=1.100 g C13H8O*(1mol/180.2g)=6.10*10^-3mol

Volume NaBH4=.1140gNaBH4*(1ml/1.07g)=.106ml NaBH4

moles NaBH4=.1140gNaBH4*(1mol/37.83g NaBH4)
                 =3.01 * 10^-3 mol NaBH4

Are you spelling it right?
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
