I wonder what is the bonding structures of alkadienes like? I saw some notes about it and there stod something about lumo and homo..Anyone who want explane this to me and iI would be wery greatful!
You would have to elaborate on the information you're seeking, because I don't think anyone is going to be able to give you a solid answer on what the bonding structure of a diene is. But, HOMO and LUMO are referring to molecular orbit/electron diagrams, respectively being Highest Occupied Molecular Orbit and Lowest Unoccupied Molecular Orbit. In drawing specific dienes (this comes into play with aromaticity) you will note that they become more stable as they become more conjugated. This happens because the distances in relative energy get smaller and smaller as the molecular orbits increase (the antibonding and bonding orbitals get closer and closer to each other), thus diminishing the amount of energy between HOMO and LUMO. The lower in energy, the more stable.
