Ionic Equation For Neutralisation Reactions
« on: March 31, 2007, 09:07:18 AM »
Hi there, i have a simple question here...  ???

are all ionic equations for any neutralisation reactions for any acid and base all the same?? (including orgainc acids??)

that is :

                                    H+ + OH-  -----> H20 ?

Even the standard molar enthalpy change of neutralisation is defined as the heat released when 1 mole of H+ reacts with 1 mole of OH- to yield 1 mole of H20.
