Hi
this is my first post i need help in solving this question:
a 1.065g sample of stainless steel was dissolved in HCL(this treatment converts Cr present to Cr3+) and diluted to 500mL in a volumetric flask. One 50mL aliquot was passed through a Walden reductor and then titrated with 13.72mL of 0.01920M KMnO4. A 100mL aliquot was passed through a Jones reduction into 50mL of 0.1 M Fe3+. titration of the resulting solution required 36.43 mL of KMnO4 solution.Calculate the percentage of Fe and Cr in the alloy.
I found the Fe percentage (which was 69%)
The answer for the Cr is 21%(the answer was at the back of the book), but i dont know how to calculate it
i need the concept of the calculation.
thank you
