I accedently hit something and dropped my watch glass on the floor and saw my final product dropp [acetanilide]!!!!

when i collected the sample again I saw debreee and hair in it and some dust.  Tried cleaning it with forcepts to remove the contaminates out.  Do u think i will have to redo the experiment again?? Since I have to use this for my next experiment preparation of 4 acetamidobenzenesulfonyl chloride

Acetanilide is not soluble in hexane, so you could wash it with that.
It is also barely soluble in water (1g in ~185mL of water), and so if you can afford to loose a little you can wash it in that, as well.

You could try  recrystallizing  from water( it is soluble in hot water)

i'll try washing it in vacuum filtration in the hexane.  Do u think the contaminates will affect my IR spec, my melting point was at 94.8 it could be due to it being wet though...

Washing with hexane is not a bad idea.but since you need acetanilide for your next step, it would be better to have a pure sample.
Its hard to catch the contaminants on IR..try taking NMR.

Find a solvent it IS soluble in, vacuum filter, evaporate solvent.  Dust should be gone.  If you want to be careful, do as listed above and try rinsing with hexane first.

I saw 1g per 3ml methanol somewhere, i'm pretty sure and 1g per 8ml DCM.
