Hi everyone,

I hope this is the correct place to post this.
For my High School chemistry course I am required to conduct a short questionnaire with at least one chemist (as many as possible would be great ). If you work in a chemical industry or enterprise, whether maintaining the pH of your local swimming pool or designing new catalysts, I would very much appreciate it if you would answer the following questions!

3. I'm a researcher/technician in my current lab.  Basically, I synthesize compounds that might be useful in solar cells, and then I do a lot of testing to see if they're as useful as they looked in the first place.  I make devices sometimes, but most of my time is taken up by synthetic work.  Many of my compounds get sent to collaborators in chemical or materials engineering.
4. (Is there no #4 in your survey?)
5. Organic materials.  (If I just said "organic" people might confuse me with a natural products chemist.)
6. Solubility!  The materials I make are so much easier to work with if they are soluble, so it is important to keep this in mind when designing new compounds to make.  Also, it is easier to fabricate devices from them.
