Chemistry project
« on: May 13, 2007, 07:23:48 PM »
I am in a basic chemistry class but I need some help with a project, I have to make a hand drawn model of CO2, here is what I have so far, http://i6.tinypic.com/4le6bo6.jpg is there anything else I need to add? I know I am missing some things, like where the elements bond, theres a name for that place ect. I am not good at chemistry so please help me out on this. Any help is deeply appreciated.

You structure doesn't look good as is, as four of the bonds in your structure are covalente. Actually carbon has dy sigma bonds with oxigen and dy pi bonds , one in y axes and the other in z axes. For better understanding see this link:

Hope this helps.
