Alpha-decarboxylation?

Well I was looking for a way to eliminate CO2 from Tryptophan.. after kicking off the amine I realized that I couldnt follow through with the decarboxylation step as usual..

How plausible would this reaction sequence be? The mechanism drawn may not be the most ideal but I think you know what Im getting at.

i don't like the mechanism you have drawn - but the biological method for synthesis of this important plant hormone comes from tryptophan too, via a similar transamination/decarboxylation/oxidation sequence:
