Help - write formula structure
« on: June 28, 2007, 11:22:57 PM »
Write the structural formulas of the organic substances. Then rewrite names of them (if indispensable).
a) 3-isopropyl butanol -1
b) isopropyl n-propyl ete

Please tell me the mean of "iso" and then write according to demand.
Can you tell me some examples of "iso", "tert", "neo" ???
Thanks you very much.

Sorry for my English grammar.
If i have some mistakes, pls tell me them, thanks.!!!

iso- in this context means attached through the middle carbon in the propane moiety.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
