I know that there has to be a concentration of vapours to cause autoignition but would an electric stove like this ignite vapours if there was a bit of a build up?


Another quick question. Instead of using a hotplate would it be possible to use a frying pan with a bit of cooking oil to heat glassware? Would it be possible to even leave out the cooking oil and put the glassware directly on onto the dry frying pan or would that cause the glass to break?

I know borisilicate glass is made for high temperatures but I hear it the heating is uneven it breaks.
