How to do a flowchart on isolating a neutral compound from a mixture containing basic impurity by drawing a flow chart as on page?

what will be the product of the reaction when benzoic acid reacts with sodium hydroxide . Why is the product of this reaction easily extracted into water , while the original benzoic acid is not so easily extracted into water???  :)

What kind of reaction might happen when benzoic acid reacts with sodium hydroxide?  How would this change the properties of the benzoic acid?
